PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (BusinessWire EON) February 15, 2007 --
During National Jobs In Golf Month, employers seeking to fill positions can post jobs at PGA.com/employment. Employers can also take advantage of the many employment services The PGA of America provides on a complimentary basis, including a job posting board and regional PGA Career Consultants who assist in finding qualified candidates that will meet the needs of the employer.
"Whether you are a seasoned PGA Professional or new to the game, The PGA's National Jobs In Golf Month campaign is a terrific opportunity to connect employers and jobseekers throughout the industry," said PGA of America President Brian Whitcomb. "In today's competitive environment, finding the most qualified and professional employees are an essential part of ensuring the vitality of a golf course, company or organization. This year's Jobs in Golf Month program will continue to provide opportunities for employers and jobseekers, touching all aspects of the industry, including instruction, management, food and beverage, retail sales, and promotions."
Geared toward both employees and jobseekers, the PGA Employment Center serves as an online clearinghouse of complimentary employment services and can be found at PGA.com/employment. Through the site, employers can access nine region-specific PGA Career Consultants or add job postings to hire candidates interested in working in various positions throughout the golf industry. In addition, jobseekers can post resumes, access employment opportunities for hundreds of open positions, read testimonials, find out about different types of jobs in the golf industry and learn how to become a PGA Professional.
Jobseekers looking to work in the golf industry can search the job database of PGAjobfinder, a subset of the PGA Employment Center. PGAjobfinder allows the golfing public and PGA Professionals an opportunity to post resumes, apply for open positions and search for jobs throughout the golf industry. Job opportunities range from General Manager to Teaching Professional positions for PGA Professionals; and Caddie Master to Equipment Mechanic positions for the general public.
